transitiemanagement

Martin Loeve is taking care of the programme management of the transition course “Vision of Schouwen-Duiveland, The Dam 2039’ on behalf of the Social and Economic Advice Platform (SEAP).

The transition course “The Dam 2039” is an initiative of SEAP aimed at the social and economic development of Schouwen-Duiveland in the next 30 years.

The reason for the transition course was: to break through division and lack of mutual trust, draw attention to the potential for the Island, make better use of the island’s capital and learn about sustainable development.

The aim and ambition of the transition course is: in 2039 the economy of Schouwen-Duiveland will be water-driven, the island will still be authentic and the inhabitants will be proud of and involved in the island.

The strategy of the transition course is a combination of large-scale thinking and small-scale operation, making connections between government, entrepreneurs and education and making use of social media.
Delta Change Management, at the request of SEAP, will support the ten future courses including “Island Gateways and Community Art”, “Flexible & Thematic Residence”, “Aqua-culture Pilot” and “Schouwen-Duiveland Energy”.

The first effects and results are: a contribution to the strategic vision on the development of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, the establishment of a coast-laboratory in Schouwen-Duiveland, the development of a DNA-handbook of Schouwen-Duiveland and participation in the provincial project “Great Regional Product (Lekker Regionaal Product)”
